Washtec AG, through its subsidiaries, engages in the development, manufacture, and marketing of vehicle washing equipment and products to customers in Europe, North America, and the Asia Pacific. Its products include gantry car washes, conveyor tunnel systems, automatic car wash systems, self-service jet wash equipment, commercial vehicle wash systems, washing materials, car care chemicals, and water recovery systems, as well as supplementary products, such as vacuum cleaners, mat cleaners, and pre-spray devices. The company also offers financing solutions for purchasing vehicle wash systems through hire purchase and leasing models; and support services for car wash operations. Its customers include operators of petrol stations, including multinational oil companies, individual operators, operators of chains of petrol stations/car washes, and supermarkets that offer on-site washing facilities to their customers; and car dealerships and agencies, forwarding agencies, and transport companies that offer car washing as a complimentary service to their customers. WashTec AG was founded in 1885 and is headquartered in Augsburg, Germany.

Washtec AG Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2012; Provides Revenue Outlook for the Year 2012
Washtec AG reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2012. For the quarter, the company’s revenues were €75.9 million against €77.1 million a year ago. EBITDA was €7.6 million against €8.3 million a year ago. EBIT was €5.1 million against €5.9 million a year ago. Adjusted EBIT was €4.8 million against €6.2 million a year ago. EBT for the period was €4.6 million against €5.4 million a year ago. Net income was €3.1 million or €0.22 per diluted share against €3.2 million or €0.23 per diluted share for same period a year ago. Total income for the period was €75.8 million against €79.1 million a year ago. For the six months, the company’s revenues were €142.6 million against €140.5 million a year ago. EBITDA was €10.1 million against €11.0 million a year ago. EBIT was €5.2 million against €6.1 million a year ago. Adjusted EBIT was €5.2 million against €6.6 million a year ago. Washtec AG Announces Management Changes
Washtec AG announced a change of the management board. Thorsten Kruger, spokesman of the management board, and Houman Khorram, CFO, have resigned on their own request effective July 31, 2012. Reasons for the change are different views on the speed of the strategic repositioning of the company. Michael Busch, member of the supervisory board of WashTec AG since 2003 and serving as chairman of the supervisory board since 2007 will be delegated from the supervisory board to the management board according to sec. 105 II of the German Securities Act (Aktiengesetz) until a new spokesman of the management board has been designated. For the time being, he will serve as sole board member. For the term of the delegation, Massimo Pedrazzini has been elected as new chairman of the supervisory board while Jens Große-Allermann will serve as deputy chairman.
Washtec AG Announces Supervisory Board Changes
Washtec AG announced that at its annual general meeting held on May 10, 2012, the shareholders decided on an enlargement of the company's Supervisory Board from formerly three to six members. Michael Busch will remain chairman. Massimo Pedrazzini also continues to serve as member of the Supervisory Board. The additionally elected members of the Supervisory Board are Jens Große-Allermann, Dr. Sören Hein, Roland Lacher and Dr. Hans Liebler. The former deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board, Jürgen Lauer, withdrew his candidacy during the Annual General Meeting for personal reasons.
